Most of the objects present in today’s games produce shadows and this parameter determines the quality of the shadows and the distance at which they are rendered. The higher the quality, the more the shadows will appear clear, precise and sharp, while with a low setting you will get much less refined and ugly shadows from aliasing. However, a high setting of this parameter can significantly impact the framerate.
Our advice: it is advisable to keep this parameter on Alto (now present in most games) to avoid barely perceptible and confused shadows that would occur with lower settings. If, on the other hand, you opt for Molto Alto or Ultra, the benefits in terms of quality are not so evident compared to Alto and the drop in fluidity is felt distinctly.
