In the Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation finale, Lara Croft was buried under the rubble of the entrance to the Great Pyramid of Giza. His old master and enemy Werner Von Croy is busy in Egypt excavating the collapsed entrance to find and possibly save it. Meanwhile, family and friends gather at Croft Manor to celebrate the passing of their beloved Lara, recalling and narrating some of the exploits and adventures she went through before her alleged death.
Winston, Lara’s faithful butler, remembers her in one of her first adventures, in Rome, engaged in the search for the philosopher’s stone, thwarted by Pierre and Larson (already appeared in Tomb Raider Featuring Lara Croft), a pair of clumsy traffickers of archaeological finds . Carelessly, the two traffickers activate an ancient mechanism that gives life to monsters and mythological creatures by trying to access the place where the stone is kept. Lara manages to unlock the access portal, and after facing the pitfalls of the Colosseum, she retrieves the stone.
Charles Kane tells of the search for the Lance of Destiny, which was lost during the Second World War on board in a German submarine. Sergei Mikhailov, a Russian mobster, is interested in recovering the Lancia to acquire its powers, and for this he has bribed Admiral Yarofev, commander of a Russian submarine, to help him in the enterprise. Infiltrated aboard the submarine, Lara manages to retrieve the Lancia before Sergei and his men from the wreck of the German U-boat. Back aboard and captured, Lara witnesses the unleashing of the power of the Spear of Destiny, which causes extensive damage to the Soviet submarine and the death of Sergei and his men. Aided by Admiral Yarofev, Lara manages to rise to the surface using a rescue module, leaving the Spear of Destiny in the submarine, which Admiral Yarofev sends to crash to the ocean floor as Lara leaves.
Father Dunstan recalls when, called for an exorcism on the fearsome Black Island, he was secretly followed by Lara, then just seventeen. There the two found themselves facing a demon imprisoned on the Island due to an ancient magical rite that confined him to an area surrounded by running water. After kidnapping Father Dunstan, the demon forces Lara to find a way to stop the local currents. Lara luckily finds The Bestiary, an ancient book of magic formulas with which she manages to impose her will on the demon and save Father Dunstan.
Winston takes his friends to the Trophy Room, where Lara keeps artifacts recovered from her adventures. At the sight of the Iris, Winston recounts how Lara managed to steal the precious artifact from Werner Von Croy by infiltrating the skyscraper of her Industries in New York. Helped by computer expert Zip, Lara manages to infiltrate the laboratory where the Iris is kept and steal it. Von Croy tries in every way to stop her and recover the Iris, even sending two dangerous automatons on her trail, but Lara still manages to escape him by launching herself from the roof of the skyscraper with a hang glider after a daring escape.
As Lara’s friends drink a toast to his memory, Von Croy is urgently called into Egypt’s Great Pyramid excavation. One of the diggers gives Von Croy Lara’s backpack: it has been found.
