California Games is a sports video game released by Epyx in 1987 for numerous consoles. In the wake of the popular Summer Games and Winter Games, this video game consists of a series of challenges in some sports believed to be popular in California such as skateboarding, freestyle footbag, surfing, skating, Frisbee and BMX.
The game was a great success, becoming one of the best sellers at the time and getting good reviews. In 1992, a sequel called California Games II was produced, but it did not have the same reception as the first title in the series.
